Description

Notes: "Nantucket is healthy..." there is good reason for this comment of Emma's. The drawback of living in a 19th century industrial center was the industrial pollution. The text of Emma's message begins on the face of the card and continues onto the reverse side. The news that Aunt "Carrie" - Caroline Read (Cotton) Fifield - had a bad cold is probably secondary to the announcement that Emma and Carrie have telephones. Another card with discoloration from the mounting in an album. There is a the horse-drawn street car at the far left.
